Privacy for public website launch checks
Last updated: 2026-06-02 UTC
What the tool scans
WebsiteReady runs Website Launch Checker for public websites only. When you submit a URL, the service fetches public pages and public files such as the homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt to generate a launch-readiness report.
What we store
- Submitted URL, normalized URL, and final URL after redirects.
- Scan timestamp, status, duration, and launch-readiness decision.
- Detected issue titles, severities, evidence, fix guidance, and generated Markdown report content.
- Basic abuse-prevention logs needed to operate and protect the service.
Do not submit private dashboards, intranet URLs, signed URLs, secret-bearing pages, authenticated pages, or URLs you are not authorized to test.
Retention and deletion
- Free public reports may be retained while the service operates unless deleted earlier.
- Deleted reports are removed from public access as soon as the deletion request is processed.
- Operational logs may be retained as needed for reliability, abuse prevention, and debugging.
To request deletion, email privacy@websiteready.org with the report URL.
Analytics and infrastructure
The service is hosted on Cloudflare Workers and uses Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting, logs, D1 storage, abuse prevention, delivery, and aggregate web analytics. The public build may include Cloudflare Web Analytics / beacon signals, Plausible Analytics, Google Analytics 4, and Ahrefs Web Analytics for traffic, performance, reliability, and product-funnel measurement. We send analytics providers pageview signals and privacy-safe product events such as audit submission, audit completion status, report view, and Markdown copy actions. Plausible is used through a self-hosted shipsolo.io endpoint and is configured with sanitized page URLs for report pages; GA4 may use cookies or similar identifiers depending on the visitor's browser and Google controls; Ahrefs Web Analytics and Cloudflare analytics are used for aggregate measurement. We do not send the submitted target URL, fetched page content, issue evidence text, report Markdown, private dashboards, secret-bearing inputs, or raw public report IDs to third-party analytics. We do not use Clarity, PostHog, advertising pixels, or session replay in the current public build.
